[...] As an aside, I twisted Hugh’s arm to get the Stormhoek boys to support the Irregulars dinner at Office 2.0. At the time only a few had vaguely heard about the mad-American-recovering-ad-man-living-in-Cumbria. Yesterday, Jeff Nolan, one of the Irregulars, met Hugh. In Ireland. They shared a platform with some other heavy hitters. Along with another person I’ve connected to. Tom Raftery. Tom is the avowed Mac fanboy who’s recently been advising Microsoft.
I figured it out. Technorati haven't refreshed my feeds yet, they're still showing posts from yesterday, but if I search for another tag I used on those posts they'll show up. I only added it@cork2006 after Tom suggested it after lunch. Guess it needs time to catch up!

[...] Update - Michele loved Tony’s approach to using open source - mix it with proprietary software if you have to. Tom Raftery thought, “yesterday’s event was a tremendous success” and I agree, while Tom Corcoran has a short but thorough review of the day. He did forget to mention the delicious dessert after lunch. Oh wow! Yum! [...]

I wonder if that is due to the "@" character in the tag Donncha?

That's a good review of the day, brought it back to me!
Technorati seems to be having a hissy fit though because none of my photos have shown up there for the event and now even Tom's posts have disappeared. (This may all be resolved by the time you visit the <a href="http://www.technorati.com/tag/IT@Cork2006" rel="nofollow">tag page</a> so disregard if so!)

[...] The speakers were almost all great, both in terms of the content and the delivery. Tom Corcoran sums the day up nicely on the RAI Centre blog. [...]

Tom, thanks for the great review - I'm glad you found the day informative.

I instructed the a/v guys to record all the sessions so I hope to podcast the sessions off the it@cork blog in the coming weeks. The slides will be available too.

You might add the tag it@cork2006 to this post and it will automatically appear in Salim's confabb site in the <a href="http://confabb.com/conferences/IT@Cork2006/news" rel="nofollow">conference news area</a>!
